2013 BMW X1

2013 BMW X1

Thanks to a premature leak of information, we now know that the U.S.-spec 2013 BMW X1 will start at $31,545 when it goes on sale this fall following its debut at the 2012 New York auto show.
Three modeles will be offered -- sDrive28i, xDrive28i, and the U.S.-exclusive xDrive35i. The xDrive starts at $33,245 and the xDrive35i will start at $39,345. Both of the 28i models will powered by the new N20 turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 tuned to make 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. We've liked the 3 Series and 5 Series we've sampled with this engine, so we have plenty of reason to believe it'll be good in the X1 as weel. The 35i, meanwhile, is powered by the 300-hp, 300-lb-ft 3.0-liter turbo-six we've become quite familiar with. Unlike the rest of the X range, the X1 is built in Leipzig, Germany rather than South Carolina. Prior to its arrival, the U.S. model will receive a handful of changes including redesigned headlights, new interior surfaces, and center console cupholders.

BMW M135i

BMW M135i

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the BMW M135i Concept. The good news: it packs more than 300 horsepower, and is destined for production shortly after its 2012 Geneva Motor Show debut. The bad news? It isn't likely to be sold here anytime soon.
Despite that pesky concept term, we wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this is virtually identical to a production-spec M135i we've been hearing about for some time. Certainly, the car looks production ready: most of the exterior revisions fall in line with similar packages launched as part of the M Performance Automobiles collection. The 1 Series' exterior revisions include a new front fascia and added enlarged air intakes, a sportier looking rear fascia with a cutout for dual exhaust tips, and striking M-design 18-inch alloy wheels. Tri-color stripes, which match M's distinctive logo, are applied to both the bodyside character lines and the rear liftgate. BMW assures us this 1 Series isn't all show and no go. Mechanical revisions reportedly include both upgraded brakes and a firmer, M-tuned suspension package - but from there, things get a little sketchy. BMW's release says only that the M135i will boast a "straight six-cylinder...featuring M Performance Twin Power Turbo technology" and an output of more than 300 hp. Early reports suggested the car would use a tweaked version of the 1M's N54 twin-turbo engine, but BMW has confirmed that the car will be powered by the new-standard N55, which uses a single, twin-scroll turbo.

This 1 Series will be the first gasoline-powered addition to the BMW M Performance Automobiles collection, which presently consists of the M550d xDrive, and the X5 and X6 M50d models - all of which are powered by diesel engines. Sound nifty? Sadly, the M135i as you see it here isn't coming to North America, largely because the F20 1 Series hatchback isn't in BMW North America's product plans. That said, coupe and convertible models based off this architecture almost certainly are, and officials have hinted that the 1 Series would seem like it would work with the new M Performance group. Here's hoping it does -- and that some of this package manages to work its way stateside at some point.

BMW X6

BMW X6:

Finally the long wait is over with the arrival of BMW X6. The car truly represents a different segment which is exclusively made for luxury and pleasure when you travel. The car has got some stunning looks and added to it, the power of the car makes it the prime choice of people. The car finally got launched in the year 2012..

Engine Capacity

If it is a BMW product it has to be strong. The car has got an 8 cylinder v engine with 4395cc of engine displacement. Along with it the 4.4 litre engine and the twin turbo charger which makes it possible for the car to reach zero to hundred in 5.4 seconds.

Mileage & Average

The four valve technology has really but on the thrill for the car. The 4.4 litre engine in the car provides the car with necessary power but sadly on the mileage part the car has to compromise as it offers 6 to 7 km/ litre on roads. However, the company promises to improve the present condition in the upcoming edition which would provide a mileage of about 10 km/ litre.

Power

The car is all powerful in its class with a torque of 600Nm when it reaches its peak with the courtesy of 8 cylinder engines. The engine can produces 235 hp with achieving a top speed of 250 km/ hour.

Exterior Appearance

The exterior of the car represents a true BMW car with the same sleek look. The metallic finish is breath taking and rear views and the door handles perfectly fits into with the shape of the car. The kidney grill has been a titanium finish look to maintain a sophisticated look. The car has a wheelbase of 2, 933 mm whereas the total length of the car is 4, 877 mm along with a height 1,690 mm and width of 1, 983 mm, making it an impressive one.

Interior

Just like the exteriors, the interior of the car is also very stylish with fully leather finish from the seats to the steering wheel. The concept of dual air conditioners has also been implemented. The seats are electronically adjustable along with the steering having various controls such as the music system and the rear view mirror adjust ability.

Breaking Handling & Safety

The breaking and the handling system of the car just cannot get better. The concept of both rear and front disc brakes have been implemented in the car to provide better control over the car. The airbags are also very good which provides immediate protection to the persons in the front section of the car. The ABC and DTC control systems are equally good with god seat belts and rollover sensors.

Pros

The biggest credit for the car is its look and powerful engine. The car just looks awesome and is awesome. The 8 cylinder engine also adds to the credit and goes well with its price which is somewhere near Rs. 65, 90, 000 to 82, 90, 0000.

Cons

Perhaps the biggest concern is its mileage which makes it a little costlier. Added to it, the boot space in the car is not sufficient and adjustable as in other cases of BMW.
