In Geneva 2011 Motor Show, the fourth generation Kia-Rio hatchback marked it’s presence with it’s distinctive personality and bold look. The 5-door based hatchback has the lowest emission compare to a no-hybrid model and the customer will get 7-years warranty. The 3-door configuration model may come soon.
 2012 Kia Rio will come with 4 variants, 2 in petrol and 2 in diesel. The engine power of the hatchback is 1.1L CRDi engine which can give 74 hp @ 4000 rpm and torque around 170 NM @ 1500-2750 rpm. 2012 Kia Rio can reach 60 mph in just 14.9 seconds with a top speed of 98 mph.
Wheel base of Kia Rio is 15 inches. The hatchback has intelligent Stop and Go engine technology, low rolling resistance tires, Eco Dynamic fuel-saving technology, a drag0-reducing front grille, rear spoiler and gearshift indicator. The Eco Dynamic technology will be the common for all the diesel models of Kia Rio. The future model of Kia Rio will be 1.4L engine. This engine can produce 89 hp and 220 NM torque. The emissions are set around 70.6 mpg and 105 g/km of CO2.
Price of 2012 Kia Rio will be around 14,195 pound.
The petrol engines of 2012 Kia Rio will be 1.25L Kappa unit and 1.4L Gamma engine and both of the engines can produce 107 hp and 137 NM torque.
Bluetooth is the common feature for both the petrol model. However, there are some other standard features will be found in 2012 Kia Rio. Those are daytime running lights, body-colored bumpers, door handles and door mirrors, speed-variable front wipers, headlamp leveling, front electric windows, 15 inch steel wheels, height adjustable driver’s seat, tachometer, trip computer, spilt folding rear seats, two-way steering column adjustment, boot light, 12-volt power socket, mp3 compatible RDS radio and CD player with USB and AUX ports.
The price of the petrol variants will be 10,595 pounds for 1.25L kappa unit and 13,095 pound for 1.4L gamma unit.
