The Diesel powered Renault Duster is expected to be powered by 1500cc Turbocharged Diesel I4 SOHC engine that is able to deliver 85 bhp and 110 bhp power. The 1.5 litre diesel machine has been taken from Nissan Micra. The engine delivering 110 bhp will be the Step 4 version of K9K engine.Renault Duster’s fuel efficiency would in all likelihood be great since the SUV is lighter than other SUVs in India. Initially a 1.5 diesel powered engine will be introduced with Duster in India. This engine will be tuned to two different states putting out two different power outputs (85 bhp and 110 bhp). Expert says that Renault Duster will be capable to deliver 17-19 kmpl mileage on Indian roads.
