That mysterious vehicle Mitsubishi was teasing recently has turned out to be the all-new 2013 Outlander crossover, which will make its official debut in just a few weeks at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The latest crossover will also offer significantly improved fuel economy over the current model thanks to a raft of technology including new four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, and eventually a plug-in hybrid. The regular engines displace as little as 2.0 liters, and in the case of the diesel is paired with a turbocharger. To further boost fuel economy, the new Outlander will also benefit from a standard front-wheel drive mode (all-wheel drive will also be offered), an engine stop-start system, lightweight construction, and an eco-driving coach.
