The Aston Martin DBS is a super sport car manufactured by the British. The DBS has been launched in India in two variants viz. Aston Martin DBS 6L V12 Coupe and the Aston Martin DBS Volante. The Volante is a convertible model of the DBS. And even with the roof up, the Volante keeps up the coupe like profile of the car. The DBS Volante has a trendy retractable soft-top and it also uses very minimum of trunk space. The roof can be raised or lowered in just 14 seconds at speeds of upto 30 mph. Also, it is a very cool car in itself as it has been associated with James Bond for almost four decades.
The Aston Martin DBS Coupe and Aston Martin DBS Volante has a displacement of 5935cc, and it has a V12, 48 Valve engine. The petrol driven super luxury car has a maximum power of 510bhp at 6500 rpm and has a maximum torque of 570Nm at 5750 rpm. The Aston Martin DBS has a two-door coupe body style with 2+0 seating where as the DBS Volante has an optional 2+2 seating with two-door soft-cover convertible top body style. Both the variants have the extruded bonded aluminium VH body structure. The Aston Martin DBS body is made up of aluminium, magnesium alloy and carbon-fibre composite. The doors also have side impact beams. The car has Halogen Projector headlamps as the main beam and high intensity discharge headlamps as the dipped beam.
